O. C. G. was formed in early 2000 ,I actualy started out tring to form a ska band , but I meet up with a friend Adrian Chrisos at a local band's show and we then desided to form a rock band instead , and we just started play, then got some other friends to come in and jam with us , we now have 3 of the origial 4 and we have 1 new guy , who is exceptionally good at lead guitar. The band consists of 4 members: *Drums-Mike McCarroll *guitar/vocals-Adrian Chrisos *bass-Doug Dykstra *guitar- Preston Hart The 3 original members are Me , Adrian , and Doug . Getting Preston was one of the best things we have ever done , it has expanded our style , and opened us up to a completely new genre , and helped us out alot. One thing we love to do is to just jam . We play over 20 originals and all have been made up by jamming . Usualy while someone is tuning their instrument , someone will play a line/riff/beat and then the rest of will join in , and next thing you know , we have a song... so there is definatly some magic with us.

Our style has eveerything from slow chilled out music to hard-rock , like Grateful Dead and Dave Matthews to Hendrix and even some Bob Marley ,a little bit of blues. We like to refer to our selves as a jam-band and love playing new stuff and we always are tring new things to enhance the sound of our band.

This year O C G has recorded over 3 cd's . The most recent is called Speechless Music by the Giant which is 15 tracks of original music , we are tring to give it out to everyone and anyone who will take it and tring to publicize as much as possible. Mike is currently planning and producing a local band festival , which is going to have 9 bands and 2 DJs and 2 rappers . We are hoping to have it on may 28th . we hope to get out into the publics eye as much as we can . I am also planning a battle of the bands for school and a few big shows for over the summer . This year will be a huge year for the band and will hopefuly be a productive time for us.

We hope to keep on playing as much as we can , and love to come up with new songs and just jamming with our friends.
