Non-Jazz is a trio setting(guitar,bass and drums) and they play many diferent styles,his repertorie is very big they play music of the great masters of Jazz(Miles Davis,T. Monk),latin american composers(Jobim,Bonfa,Ruiz Armengol,A.Lara)and his own work.

In his CD's you can hear only original work,and for the group this is the most important message.Non-Jazz means Jazz without Jazz;and for his bandleader and guitarrist Omar Tamez the comunication with the people is the most important thing.

Non-Jazz is like the old Jazz cats,play with many improvisation,sometimes only in a Be-Bop conception but with his own arregments and songs.Non-Jazz represents the Mexican Jazz without imitations only his own voice.
