Noise Revolution consists of: Chris Work, Jerry Work, and Russell Smith. NR formed from pieces of two formerly Memphis-based bands. Chris and Russell, the singer/bass player and drummer, respectively, were the rhythm section of a gothic, early-80's-inspired band called 81. Jerry played guitar for a heavy metal band called Mean, Bad & Ugly. When Chris and Russell quit 81 and moved to the Nashville area, Jerry followed behind soon afterwards, and the three formed the power trio Noise Revolution.
NR spent the next eight months writing songs, practicing, and recording. It is the band's intention to release an independent album and distribute it on-line, completely bypassing record labels. Two MP3 downloads, in addition to one free download, are currently for sale through the band's web site, noiserevolution.com. More songs are to follow.
Noise Revolution's mission is to take back rock from the crap rock being spewed out by corporate America and big radio stations.
