Ninevah is five members who began writing and playing together in 2000 and released their first cd in June of 2001. The vocalists, Michalee, Carrie and Becky, are three sisters who grew up in love with music. Their performances began as they learned to talk, singing in church, school choirs, and musicals. Doug, the drummer, also grew up in church with the girls, and Heather, guitarist, met the girls while in college. Many of the songs are written in collaboration by Heather and Carrie. Ninevah considers its music worship and takes very seriously the call to write music which has relevance to the culture.

The lyrics are soulfully knit into unbelievable harmonies. The distinctive blend of the sisters voices can not be recreated. Each vocalist can also play several instruments, and often do including piano/keyboard, guitar, flute and percussion.

The band is learning many new things since the first recording. Plans are being made for a second release and more touring as individual schedules allow. New material is being written and many bugs are being worked out of what is already established. One of Ninevah's primary goals professionally is to work on mastering and production of the second cd.
