Nash Lane is a progressive aggressive rock (NOT metal) band that formed in Weston, MA a small, boring, unlikable suburb of Boston. After many years of practicing, small-time gigging, lineup changes, home demos, and high school, Nash Lane entered Wellspring Studios in the summer of 2004 to record with producer/engineer/mixer/all-around coolest guy ever Nick 'Hollywood' Gallant (of Pocketsauce). The result of the sessions (recorded live in 2 days, mixed in 1 day, and employing about 4 overdubs) is 'Aldous Huxtable' - our first EP.
The album bears a wide range of influences but ultimately comes across as experimental, intelligent, and original hard rock (if we may say so). Many of the songs on 'Aldous Huxtable' are in the vein of Deftones, Incubus, and Tool but the band has an undeniably unique vision and sound. Nash Lane's many influences range all over the map; from the aforementioned bands to Radiohead and The Beatles. All members of the band are big music lovers and thus the Nash Lane sound draws from a variety of artists. However the band does not limit itself to musical influences; Nash Lane finds inspiration from movies, society, politics, and every day life.
