In June of 1996, a new sound originated that we call NSB. Considered to be 'Straight-up/In-yo-face/Active/Whoop-ass Hop-rock/With passion', this sound was conceived by five young musicians from the Cleveland area who were formerly in several other local bands with diverse musical talents. We wanted to stick out like sore thumbs from the widespread music scene from day one. As a group, we immediately began writing material together. Currently, we have an impressive 35 song catalog that is constantly growing. We have written, recorded and produced our own demo CD at Spider Studios shortly after forming. The sold-out demo CD, entitled 'Blah, Blah, Blah...' was released just to give people a little taste of who we are. Then we moved to our first full-length CD 'Not So Blah' that caught the attention of a lot more people due to our increasing growth in the Cleveland area. As 'the ball' droped in Times Square and we kissed '98 goodbye, say hello to NSB'99. In the works is the new CD, that ultimatley will put anything we've done in the past to SHAME!!!

Since the release of the demo, we have been traveling around the Northeast to play and promote our music to very receptive audiences. In the short time of three years we have established an impressive fan base through the use of our mailing list, CD's, merchandise, airplay and word of mouth of our powerful live shows. A new addition is our website at www.nsbstar.com which is helping us to reach out even further. We have been in regular rotation on many college radio stations and have made the top 20 list on Cleveland's own commercial radio station WENZ 107.9 The End.

In May of '98, we played in a national benefit showcase at the Wetlands in New York City, and got invited to take part in Cleveland's own Undercurrents International Music Expo. We were also picked last spring for the Music Search '98 Compilation CD which contains a few of the nation's best unsigned bands. Chicago's Fresh Tracks, a monthly CD subscription company that only selects 2 bands a month has chosen NSB to be a part of their fast growing music community.
