Formed from the smoldering ashes of Planet 24, Mausoleum, and Toetag, to say that the members of NONE have come from diverse backgrounds (ranging from double-bass-oriented punk rock to death metal) is an understatement. Yet these five all have in common a desire, a need to make music that actually latches onto people and people latch onto back. Metal that speaks colors to colorful individuals, yet still unleashes the beast within to take out the pent-up aggressions fueled by an the angry youth that today’s society spawns. These five have verged, from seasoned local veterans to simple fans of heavy music, to give birth to a new creation that takes care of all these needs, and that creation is known as NONE.
Described by some as Hardcore Grind Thrash, NONE takes influences ranging from the commercially viable metal of Deftones and Pantera, to the tough-as-nails hardcore of Madball and Biohazard, to the straight-forward groove of Merauder and Slipknot, and to the deathly chugging of Cannibal Corpse and Napalm Death. The music of NONE goes from lurchingly-slow grind to mosh-happy thrash, while still being accessible enough for even the most “above-ground” of metal fans. The main goal of NONE is to speak volumes to the underground, but the sole purpose of NONE is to create heavy music in the process, and to have a good time doing so.
This music is not for the weak, and it is not radio-friendly. This music is designed for us to vent our frustrations through the music we create, and for you, the audience, to vent your frustration in the pit.
In terms of who we'll play with, we'll play with anybody, anywhere, anyplace, as long as we don't lose too much money in the process. We just like playing out...
