NOMAD
Band Biography

  • From: Hartford, CT
  • No. of Members: 4
  • Year Established: 2001

'NOMAD's mix of modern heavy main-stream rock, hardcore, and heavy metal is always sure to add up to some kick-ass, head banging, scream until your throat hurts Original Rock & Roll' Although the band may be relatively young, the four members of NOMAD are not new to the 'scene'. Having been involved in various projects throughout multiple decades, some different, some the same, the mindset of this group is simple... 'NOMAD seems to play what feels good. Not only to themselves, but mainly to the fans.' The various influences throughout the group only contribute to their unique but main-stream sound. 'There are influences in NOMAD's music from as far back as the 70's, with bone-jarring, head slamming riffs that will knock your ass right back to 2001 and beyond !' If you are into the 'Local Scene', or just dig good ol' Original Rock & Roll, NOMAD is one group NOT TO MISS. 'NOMAD's stage energy is intense, and they know how to share that energy with the crowd. The music is fresh, with just enough darkness to keep you on the edge.' Martha Stewart suggests that you keep your elbows off the table. We suggest that you keep your elbows up while you are in NOMAD's pit !

Nomad consists of Jay Mitchell vocals/rythm gitar, Dominic Scoppetto Lead guitar, Bill Jones bass, Joe Land Drums. These members come from different genres of choice from 70' to 80's to todays styles. This gives the music a a solid original sound not to be overlooked.

Begin 2002 started it all. The band has a put a solid foundation in the Original music scene. From day one they have made a impact and have not stop bringing the best in local music. The band also can be heard on two major rock radio stations in CT. And a college radio. Band also has particiapated in more then one battle of bands in the area. Which made this group even bigger in a short amount of time.
