Members of Mugsy's Back are: Doc (horns and vocals), Gary (bass and vocals), Mark (guitar and vocals), Dick (guitar and vocals) and Al (percussion and keyboard). Dick is the song writer and most of the time the lead vocalist. His creative energy is well matched by the drive and talents of the others. Jam and recording sessions are a group effort with everyone contributing for a unique sound. Close friends, each comes from time spent over the years with other successful bands.With their laid back style of jazz flavored rock with hints of other genres you will often find them sitting on stage instead of standing as they weave difficult instrumentals and vocals together... the crowd falls to a hush and all attention turns to them while whispers of 'Man, these guys are good!' circulate the room.
