Mr. Blackwell derived it's name from the song of the same name from the rock group, Kiss.
All of the members of the group were teenagers in the early eighties, and Kiss was a major
influence in their early years. Hopefully this will clear up those nasty rumors that the band
members have a secret admiration for a certain fashion critic.
Their self-titled debut album, recorded in 1995, charted 42 in the nation. Their second album,
entitled 'Burn', has been well received in the underground music scene as well. They are currently
in the process of recording their third album.
The highlight of their career, thusfar, was that they had the dubious honor of opening for
Queensryche at the south's largest outdoor music venue, Walnut Creek Ampitheater in Raleigh, NC.
Queensryche has always been a favorite with the band, and a major influence as well.
Mr. Blackwell are looking forward to the release of their third album, with the anticipation that
this will be the record that puts them back on the charts.
