We call it Funk-Driven Country Rock. It's straight in your face, stellar songwritting, make the girls go crazy, drink every beer in the bar-type music. Strangely, ages 16 - 50 seem to love it. We've been playing since 2002 or so, through college, and its our full time job. We want to be the next Areosmith. We want to get as much exposure as possible. We're young and hungry.
We do some things that you normally wont see at a live music show. Aside from playing guitars behind our backs and behind our heads, it isnt uncommon for the drummer and the bass player to do what we call 'the drum switchout.' When our drummer is done with a drum solo, the bass player comes in while our drummer is still playing and they switch out...drummer to bass, bass to drummer.
The band is compiled of four musicians. Alan Crist plays a '61 SG and comebines his vocals with Matt Nichols who plays a 97 Strat plus with Texas Specials. Seth Penick plays Tama drums and reincarnates John Bonham's driving force. Neal Townsend is thumping on a Warwick Thumb Bass. Combing funk, blues, country, and especially classic rock styles, this band's songwriting shows all its influences.
Based out of Richmond, VA, Mozely Rose has been touring for the last two years. Recently, the band has become emancipated from its former record label who unfortunately had them locked into a contract. Now on their own, the band is hungry and driven more than ever. We're young and are looking to play anywhere and everywhere.
