Mourningrise play technical/groove laden death metal in the vein of a faster Jungle Rot or a more technical old Six Feet Under. We've been together for about 4 years, and already have an extensive catalog of songs. We're currently working on recording a demo/promo CD, and are in the midst of scheduling a series of extensive local shows.

Mourningrise consists of CT metal veterans Heretic and Autumnax (formerly of Hamden's Noktorn) on Vocals + Lead Guitar, and Bass....respectively. Rounding out the lineup are Cerberus, former drummer for CT death juggernaut Black Autumn, and Unborn, a veteran of the CT hardcore scene. This blend of influences and styles gives Mourningrise it's brutal technicality, without losing the oh-so-important mosh friendly breaks.
