Hailing from Los Angeles, Mother Jones fuses elements of blues, country, Motown, reggae & jazz in their music. Performing throughout California & the Southwest, Mother Jones is quickly generating waves on the radar of the jam scene. A band born from diverse backgrounds across the country, Mother Jones captures audiences with incomparable versatility in their musicianship & energizing live performances. Their vocals stand out among other jam bands because of their power, creative dynamics, and soulful harmonization. Their original songs evoke an instant connection with the listeners. Their arrangements meld together many styles of music while retaining the song’s message.

Mother Jones is starting to make a mark for themselves in radio and press where they have been honored with a highly favorable review by Mick Skidmore in his “Artists on the Verge” section of the December 2003 issue of Relix Magazine. The article dubs them the 'Golden Boys' as some of their sound harkens back to the era of 70's Rock greats Eric Clapton, Dickey Betts, and the Grateful Dead, while praising their compatibility with the modern jam scene. They are getting radio play of several songs from their debut album 'Life Is Illusion' on stations around the country including a popular jam show on KPFK in Los Angeles where host Barry Smolin gave them strong kudos for rising to the top of the West Coast jam scene.David Gans from San Francisco has also praised their songs on his radio show.

Riding on this high praise, Mother Jones is now on a promotional push through e-commerce, national advertising, and regional touring. They have had the priviledge of playing some of Southern California's great venues such as the The House of Blues, Hollywood Palladium, BB King's, The Hard Rock Cafe, The Mint, The Coach House, Winston's, The Malibu Inn and many others. They have performed at goodwill events such as the Humane Society of America Benefit. They've also kept busy performing at local festivals Topanga Days & Abbott Kinney Street Festival. Away from home, they have showcased their talent at venues throughout Arizona and California and are excited to bring their positive music to new venues and events throughout the country.
