Molly (Warren) Karow
Molly Karow is a singer/songwriter from the South East who has performed in many places both in the United States and in Europe. She began her performing career as a small child, starting as a classical pianist and moving on to violin and voice studies. Before long, she was writing songs of her own and decided that the guitar would be the ideal way to communicate her music. With an arsenal of four chords she wrote her first song at the age of thirteen, 'Name on the Wall,' about a visit to the Vietnam Memorial. It is a song she still performs today, and a favorite of many of her fans.
Since then Molly has performed on many stages, large and small – from college cafes to Carnegie Hall. She has traveled both with groups and on her own, playing a variety of styles such as rock, folk, classical, and pop music. Currently she is performing as a solo artist, bringing her unique style of story-telling to audiences all over the South.
Her songs are catchy and intelligent, inviting listeners to relate to the tales of a girl growing up in the South. With topics ranging from family situations to lost love, there is truth to every song, taken from Molly’s own personal experiences.
Molly’s concerts, whether in a small venue or large, are intimate and absorbing. She performs a variety of songs taken from her large repertoire of original music. She invites listeners to sing along to the songs they know, and often even asks them onto the stage to perform with her. Many times she brings along guest musicians, such as singer/songwriters Tom Eure and Ken Ledbetter, and guitarist Matt Morgan of the well-known group Seconds Flat. She strives to make each show unique and entertaining to both the audience and the performers.
Currently Molly is working to record her forthcoming album, and in the meantime scheduling shows all over the South. Don’t miss a chance to see Molly when she performs in your town.
