Midnight Rodeo was formed in April of 2000 with the purpose of providing first-class entertainment throughout the Rocky Mountain Region. A band of a wide variety of styles, Midnight Rodeo excels in Rock, Blues, New Country, Classic Country, and prides itself on being able to provide something for everyone in its audience. Whether you are a rock & blues enthusiast or a die-hard country fan, Midnight Rodeo works hard to please the gamut of audiences with 'America's Music.'
Led by singer/guitarist Marvin Roberts, Midnight Rodeo has strived to work not only with good solid musicians but also good solid guys. 'Character is king,' as Marv describes. 'Music is more than just getting up there and showing what you got, it's about putting your heart in something that you can be proud of and the people will enjoy. To do that effectively, you need good guys in the band.'
These solid and talented individuals include Ronnie Frosch from New York on lead guitar, the passionate and powerful Lance Leonard from L.A. on drums, the always consistent Mike McCormick hailing from Seattle on bass, and the musically inclined Greg Gibson from Wisconsin on keys. Together they form a group of musicians you would have a blast hearing at your local club and could also bring home for dinner with Mom. “It’s hard to find good musicians. It’s even harder to find good musicians that are good people. Midnight Rodeo has both,” says Greg Gibson.
Nearly every single member of Midnight Rodeo comes from musical formats not particularly pertaining to country, but since joining the band each one considers themselves 100% country converted. 'Country music is a genre that makes you think,” explains Ronnie. “Believe it or not, I actually enjoy it more than rock because the changes are more interesting and I have to say I’m very impressed with the musicianship in country music.' Maybe it’s Midnight Rodeo that has had something to do with it.
