Midnight Rider was formed in the summer of 1997. Guitarist Vance Tinsley decided it was time to let the world in on some great new rock. After many auditions and much hair pulling he was able to secure veteran Bass player Alan Satler and super drummer Wayen Watkins (between the 3 of them, they have over 40 years experience). Since the early days Midnight Rider has played many gigs all over the east coast. They do charity work and no gig is too small or too large. During the late summer and early fall of 1998 the band enlisted the help of producer Gary Bolton in Cloumbia S.C. (of Hootie and Root Doctors fame) and came out with its first self titled CD. The band continues to gig and write new songs, the much anticipated follow-up CD is still being written.

Midnight Rider is a totally self contained entity. We carry our own stage sound and lights.
