Matthew wrote nearly 30 songs in October of 1996, three months before even getting his first guitar. It was a spurt of melodic craziness, as he composed songs just walking in the backyard or in the halls of school, with no musical background. He recorded all of them on one cassette tape which remains locked up to this day.
Fast-forward, and now Matthew has been playing music for over 10 years, continues to write, and feels that life experience is the fuel for good tunes. And he is now ready, musically, to give his songs justice and perform them. He's spent most of his career as a lead guitarist for 'Bad Stratus,' formerly known as 'The Sophomores.' After a small stint with a band called 'Rock Hard Ten,' Matthew decided that leading a solo project was the best avenue to deliver his songs to the audience.
The shows, however, are anything but scaled down. With backup on keyboards and drums, and a complete sound and light setup, audiences enjoy Matthew's songs in their completion - they way they are recorded, and they way they are meant to sound. His goal is to be there for his listeners, just like his influences have been there for him.
