Call it punk, call it rock, call it punk rock party music at its finest, but however you label the music, Maryz Eyez is sure to provide you with an extraordinarily good time. Fresh out of West Michigan's music scene Maryz Eyez have been labeled as one of the most energizing and entertaining acts in the business today. Currently Maryz Eyez have established a large local following in the West Michigan college scene and often play for crowds throughout the state. An EP (10 wasted minutes) has recently been released by the band, which consists of 3 songs, and a few intros and outro's to leave the disc at a flat 10 minutes. Maryz Eyez plan on recording a full-length album in the winter of 2002, with a release date in spring of 2003. The latest single off of the EP, 'A Change for the Better', recently received the honor of becoming a smash hit on Kalamazoo's own top 40 station 103.3 WKFR. Formation of the band took place back in 1996 when 3 friends from a class D high school in the small town of North Adams, MI decided they wanted to break from the norm of sports and jocks and rock out to a different tune. From the start the band has been a crowd favorite and spent most of the early years playing keg parties and local events. Since then the 3 original members, bassist Eric Wagler, guitarists Mike Nichols, and drummer Mike Burlett have moved on to West Michigan and in Dec of 2001 Ryan Wagler, brother of Eric was added to the band as a second guitarist and third vocalists. Since the addition of Ryan the band has grown tremendously and jumped ahead in leaps and bounds. Maryz Eyez provides shows like no other local band. Fueled by the driving beat of one of the most outstanding drummers around, Maryz Eyez bring a humerous exhilarating show to the table. Crazy stage antics, humorous true-life songs, and the only band to have a mascot of its own are only a few things witnessed at a show. You never know what to expect. However the band still pushes out a thick dynamic sound with much of the emphasis on the vocals. Three part harmonious melodies are always apparent in a Maryz Eyez song, and all three front men share the lead mic. Within the past year Maryz Eyez's following has more than doubled and the band is currently preparing for tour for the summer of 2003. Maryz Eyez is currently searching for the right promotional team to guide them in becoming what they have full intents on becoming, which is nothing more than a touring punk rock band that helps people to cut back and rock out. Cause after all what good is life if your not really living.
