Mark Elliott’s music is personal. He writes from the heart, with material gathered from a well-traveled past seasoned with experience and observations of the people and regions of his life. His songs are diverse. Some make you laugh, some make you comfortable and others encourage you to consider a completely different point of view. All are well crafted and expertly wrapped in melodies that linger. He is a well-published (Sony/ATV Music) Nashville recording artist with his songs having been covered by major label artists and performed both in the United States and internationally. Two of his songs released as singles by Victor Sanz, “I’m Gonna’ Be There,” and Neal McCoy,” Every Man for Himself” hit the charts, with “Every Man for Himself” going into the top forty on the Billboard chart.
The seeds of Mark’s new album, “My Great Escape,” were planted years ago with the interest of the legendary Tom Paxton. Tom helped Mark secure a publishing agreement with Cherry Lane Music in Nashville. Mark went on to earn singer/songwriter honors at festivals from Florida to California, including winning the prestigious “Kerrville New Folk Award.”
Mark’s new album, “My Great Escape,” highlights his passionate and powerful voice. That voice, coupled with song lyrics that are thoughtful and moving, has earned Mark a reputation for standout live performances.
