MURTON SMURL was a vision; These 4 young men(2,17 & 2,18)were discovered separately at the same venue in Eugene,Oregon at different times at the ROOSTER'S BLUES JAM the Good Times bar & Grill,by Lee Mccall,a long time blues drummer that frequents the local blues jams regularly.
'I could see that these guys just needed to meet.'explained Mccall,'I seen a vision, these arent your average teenagers,if they could get together, they could single handedly keep a long blues tradition alive and strong'.The band is made up of two outstanding guitarists, a bass and drummer.Brian 'the kid' Wollen, the front man playing guitar and singing is a solid artist whose highly technical guitar riffs will blow your mind,as he shows his talent by the use of a slide and a bow normally used with an upright bass.Adam 'willie' Corkery augments those riffs with his own unigue guitar sound and style and splits the lead duties with Brian, shows off his ability to be very progressive in his guitar playing that makes you stand in awe of this young man's talent.Ian 'the slayer fan' Finneran fills the deep end with earth shattering and un believable bass lines. As a dedicated bass man,Ian is a student of jazz and can be found playing a stand up bass in other venues,as he is constantly rifining his craft.Rick 'pretty boy' Mccall definately is a chip off the old block as he lays down some heavy beats on the drums and has amazed his proud father in his ability to accent the rythym section with his amazing time keeping abilities.
The vision has now become a reality and has been everything and more than all can imagine.
Come see these phenominal musicians that the local radio station has been quoted as calling these guys,'The hottest new band in Oregon'
The guys are currently working on a CD that is being used in its raw form as a demo at this point but it should be a good compilation of thier style and talent when finished
