Frontman Sloan Armitage takes you on a lyrical journey into the unknown and reaches to the root of your soul with each carefully chosen lyric. With a commanding presence and a quirky candor he ropes you in and makes you listen, not only that, he makes you feel! Hailing from the land of desert, and dust, New Mexico, Sloan packed up his pick-up and headed to Seattle to seek solace in the Grunge capital. While playing an open Mic night at the local watering hole, Sloan came across Joe 'Rippa' Merrill. With a face like an angel and a voice to match, not only can Joe chime in on the high notes and wail with the best of them, he also plays a mean slide guitar. The third member, Mike Ferraro, is a talented percussionist whos creativity and attention to detail are well noticed.Ê The fourth component of this highly talented, emotionally charged rock band is bassist Matt Rankin, who hails from another local band where he plays Saxaphone. Getting back to his roots, Matt puts down his sax and adds a thick blanket of 'super-funk' to this band. With an amazing, unique sound and a fan base that increases at every show, Mblue is making its mark on the Music scene.
