Based in the hills of eastern Kentucky, MADJEYE is a progressive acoustic band who plays mostly original music throughout the tri-state area. Their music has been called everything from new grass to acousta-rock. The band members try to shun labels and just call it Fine Acoustic Music. As you listen to their many original works you hear influences ranging from Union Station to Led Zeppelin. Their style is based on traditional music with a modern nuance and a pop sensibility. They craft a balance between power and melody with a layer of darkness that lends the music a distinct flavor that is undeniably…MADJEYE. The group is comprised of remnants of 7th Sense, a successful cover band, who played the region in 2003-04. In January the former members of 7th Sense (JJ, and Xander) recruited Georgetown-born mandolin player, Blue. More recently they acquired the services of a second Georgetown native, Rob. The four have compiled a catalog of original music that is, in fact, so innovative no one can label it. MADJEYE has spent the better part of 2005 breaking the genres and the rules of acoustic music. They have won acclaim from critics and found an exponential fan base since their first night on stage. Their stylish stage show and powerful delivery have made them a fan favorite in the local music scene and now they are ready to take their music on the road. MADJEYE is a musical odyssey that will stir your soul.
