Lunaractive began around 2002. What started as a side project hobby for Anthony Munoz became one the most epic journeys he and his band-mates have ever been on. Lunaractive has become a strong group of musicians with many different talents fused together to create more than just another band. Combining highly technical insturmentation, 3 part vocals, intensely high-energy live performances, and an artistic presence rarely posessed by a band, Lunaractive never goes unnoticed where ever they are seen or heard. Lunaractive's fan base is quickly spanning the U.S. even though they have only been booking shows around the state of Oregon over the last two years.
Lunaractive consists of founder, Anthony Munoz on guitar and lead/background vocals, Ethan Nicolle on bass and lead/background vocals, Brandon Sause on lead guitar and background vocals, and Eric Porter on the drums. Both Porter and Sause are highly trained in music, Porter has a degree in music and has won awards for his drumming skills. Nicolle is also an accomplished artist who has published comic books nation wide, and done work on feature films and applies his creativity to the bands image and songwriting. Munoz is a born entertainer, who remains unforgettable as the band's highly energetic frontman. Each member contributes vast amounts of talent and influence to create the amazing and growing accomplishment Lunaractive has become: not your average rock band.
Based in Coos Bay, Oregon, Lunaractive has traveled around the state making themselves known. With a steadily growing fanbase in Portland, Lunaractive has played the Roseland theater, the New Parris Theater, and other venues in the area. In Salem, they competed against 20 bands and won first place in 'the Real Deal Battle of the Bands.' They were also invited to play at the Oregon State Fair. The band's hometown shows are brilliant productions. Their most recent home show was the celebration of their second cd release 'Synthesis' which attracted over 600 people.
Lunaractive's style is highly melodic, heavy, and energetic. The style is a fussion of riff-oriented punk rock, metal, and hardcore. Lunaractive's two-lead vocalist attack and three-part harmonies, combined with duel guitars and the huge sound of a full experienced rock band make their sound monsterous and explosive. They have created a style that is highly accessible, bridging into many genre's and gaining fans from many circles.
