I started my music career in 1986 as a drummer, then in 1989 I became a singer. I took vocal training under the tutelage of nationally known vocal coach Mark Baxter. Mark's students consisted of such celebrity vocalists as Steven Tyler, Peter Wolf, and Gary Cherone. In 1997, I became a solo artist/songwriter, donning the name 'Lone Wolf James.' I developed my own style of Acoustic Hard Rock with a Blues/Funk edge. Released my debut CD, 'Prey,' on April Fool's Day 2000. The CD sold out. Received Best Artist, Best Album of the Year, and Elite Musician Award in 2000/2001. My second CD, 'Native Groove,' was released in 2002. Alternative News Magazine presented me the award for Best Male Vocalist of the Year. Inducted into the Music Meter Hall Of Fame. Placed first in the Emergenza National Festival. Endorsed by Millennia Guitars. I was hand picked by Lil Stevie Van Zant (Bruce Springsteen band) to perform at his Underground Garage Showcase in RI. I have performed as part of the nonprofit A3D to raise money for Africa. My third CD, 'Tribal Funk,' was released in September 2004. Signed a five-month deal with Chromium Records from the UK in 2005. I released a song that cemented in the #4 slot for three straight months. Chromium Records went bankrupt during my five-month deal. I was chosen to perform live by Talent Rock in Orlando, FL. Opened for The Blushing Brides, the #1 Rolling Stones tribute band.I opened for the 'Southern Rock Allstars' (Molly Hatchet, Lynyrd Skynrd, Blackfoot).I am releasing my 4th CD this year (2007). I am now on the hunt for a new record deal. I am working with some top-level booking agents. Currently touring the East Coast with my road band.
