Liquifyed started with guitarist Brian Dickerson and bassist Mark Shin in 1997. Brian and Mark first began playing together in 1991 and have floated in and out of many projects until the Break up of Swim in 1997. After the breakup of Swim, Brian and Mark began painstakingly essemblings members for a new project centered around funk and groove music. After nearly 1 year and a half and 25 auditions later Ed Gross became Liquifyed's new drummer. With Ed Gross slammin' down the funk grooves, later conga player Micheal Barsky found a home in Liquifyed. Saxophonist Chris Faison joined in 2000 after a blind audition; and oddly enough Brian and Chris attended the same high school together. With all the members in place Liquifyed began tearing up the local music scene in NJ and NYC clubs.

Since Liquifyed's first gig in 2000 at the long established NYC club, The Elbow Room, the band has been establishing a strong local fan base. Demographically, Liquifyed's largest fan base is from funksters and jam band fans but as of recently the band has broadened to jazz fans. This can be attributed to Liquifyed's first release: Liquifyed, self titled which has seen alot of air play on commercial and college radio stations in the NJ and NYC area. Liquifyed has also done charitable events for organizations such as 'The March of Dimes' and the 'MS walkathon' as well as their music featured in the indie film, 'The A Coppelas' by Brad Ketteley. The band has also recently completed brand new tracks for an upcoming television broadcast featuring Liquifyed.

Armed with their debut release and strong fan base, Liquifyed is destined to step out nationally. The band is seeking to team up with a record company which has the same passion, vision and work ethic and together can bring Liquifyed's music to the next level.
