Level 4 is attacking the local Kansas City music scene with a vengeance with their original style of heart-pounding, in your face music. They combine various music styles such as rock, rap, funk into one powerful sound that is guaranteed to get a crowd nodding their heads and jumping up and down.
What makes Level 4's sound unique is the variety of different musical backgrounds of its members. It's this diversity in musical influences that gives Level 4 the original sound they have today. Some of the band's collective musical influences include, but aren't limited to 311, Limp Bizkit, System Of A Down, The Urge, Shudderbug, Rage Against The Machine and Primus just to name a few. One thing for sure is that, in words of Nick Hexum of 311, Level 4 comes original.
Level 4 is becoming locally recognized for their rock/hip-hop style of vocals mixed with amazing funk slap bass and hard-rocking guitar riffs, set to grooving drum beats and is sure to keep listeners coming back for more. Adam, one of the band's vocalists puts it like this, 'You can bet on the fact that the key to our success will be that even people who hate this style of music are going to get caught up in the energy of our live shows.'
Level 4 was formed in Kansas City in the fall of 2001 by vocalist Adam and bassist Marty. They soon added Jayhawk Jeff, Jeremy and Jeff into the mix on vocals, guitar and drums. What started out as an experimentation between the band soon turned out to be one hell of a powerful sound, and it is this powerful sound that makes Level 4 a band to be reckoned with.
