This high powered, hillbilly rockin' alternative country band has toured extensively throughout the West and Southeast opening shows for Doc Watson, Sam Bush, Lucinda Williams, BR549, Marshall Tucker, David Wilcox, Don McLean and other comparable artists. Their live performance has been characterized as 'Hot Tickets' Piccolo Spoleto, Charleston, SC...'A Class Act' Riverbend, Chattanooga, TN... and 'Search out Letty & Georgia for maximum vocal energy' The Jackson Hole Skier.

Their debut album self-titled 'Letty & Georgia' was described by the Chattanooga Times as 'Pure, unadulterated country'. The album was well received by public radio and several commercial radio outlets including PowerCountry 102.9 Nashville, TN. 'Give Me A Home', cut # 12 was recognized by NPR's 'A Prairie Home Companion' in their search for Talent From Towns Under 2000.

The Cowboy Angels, composed of Bobby Steele on bass guitar and Ashley Smith on drums, accompany Letty & Georgia in their live performance. Bobby Steele, from Tullahoma, TN was former bass guitarist for the popular college band Crow Creek. Ashley Smith performed with, among others, a rock band from Scottsboro, AL named Ivy Bottom. Letty & Georgia and The Cowboy Angels have been performing together for three years (see 'performances' for schedule and references/ www.lettyandgeorgia.com).

Letty & Georgia's new album, '8 second ride', was released April 15, 2000. The album was recorded in Nashville, TN and co-produced by Grammy award winning Rusty McFarland for Plain & Simple Productions. '8 second ride' features ten of Letty & Georgia's original songs ranging from the hot rocking country cut '8 second ride' to the rootsy acoustic track'Down At THe Elkhorn'. 'Heart In Your Hands', the third track, was written with John Cowan, former member of New Grass Revival and well known songwriter Andy Byrd. 'More Love' and 'Love Can't Keep A Secret were written with Bat McGrath(Come Some Rainy Day, Wynonna) and country legend Earl Thomas Conley. The album has received substantial airplay by americana and country stations throughout the US. '8 second ride' is distributed by Redeye Distribution.
