Krush Kelvin was formed in 1996 with 5 original members. The original singer and bass player stepped down in 1999. Playing as a 3 piece for the next 3 years, the band took on a rythum guitarist/singer and new lead guitarist, seeing how the original lead player went to bass. Then in Aug 2002 the bass player and rythum guitarist left due to personal conflicts within the band. A new bass player was added, and the existing lineup took shape. They are gaining speed and getting tighter every jam and gig performed. Krush Kelvin is all about keeping a crowd rocking and off there seat for the hours they play. Knowing how to treat a crowd and how to get them going with close to 50 original songs and close to 100 cover songs. In person they are a site to behold. They are just happy to play whether there is 5 people there to listen or 500.
Krush Kelvin is a mix of many stlyes due to each individual member. Mike Cosby on drums, the only original member, is constantly striving for perfection. Bill Smith on lead guitars brings a certain metal element to the band, and keeps this bands heart thumping not just beating. Brian Price on bass is the ever present reminder that this type of music started with the Beatles, and has only been copied since. His brother Brandon Price takes his rythum guitar and vocal style from John Lennon to Bob Marley to James Hetfeild, trying always to get the best out of everyone inside the band. There has never been chemisty between four indiviuals such as this. They have known each other for over 15 years and were friends first. Each one has close to 10-15yrs playing experience and is influenced by artists ranging from Paul McCartney, To Bob Marley, To Kirk Hammett, to John Bohnam. So youll see a full spectrum or rock and roll within Krush Kelvin.
Like said in the above paragraph, Krush Kelvin has took on a completely new form in 2002. Losing 4 of the original members and gaining 3 new ones all with something new to add to the sound. They consistently play at area Wrestling shows getting crowds pumped up for Professional Wrestling action. They have also played throughout Knoxville Tn and Jackson TN since adding the new lineup. Krush Kelvin is in the studio as we speak recording demo cds for their press packs and putting the finishing touches on their forthcoming album, currently untitled. The new additions to Krush Kelvin has only helped the band shine throughout 2002 and hopefully on through 2003. Now containing more talent than it ever has. They concentrate on getting a crowd onto their feet and keeping smiles on the faces of everyone assembled.
