Knew You came together in early 2004 on pure chance. We are a smashing together of members from three different bands. The core members of our band, Curtis Booth and Bruce Banford, come from Psycho Acoustic Random Noise. They also brought with them their drummer Robbie. In their search for a bass player, Curtis came to Corey Russell, the former bass player of Now Serving Seven. Finally, it came time to find the final link, the lead guitarist, the person to round out the group and give us our sound, that person was Coreys old bandmate Jason DeFreitas.

Unfortunately enough, this line-up was not to last. There were differences within the band, between the new members and the old drummer. On a tip from another local band, Selling Feeny, we decided to try out a new drummer, a local high school freshman named Cameron Schneider. We took their advice and have been grateful to them for the tip since. Cameron brought with him his uplifting energy, sense of humor, and not to mention his furious skills on the drums. He brought in his beats, threw them onto our music and it was magic.

Knew You has come a long way in just a few short months. We have begun booking shows in the D.C. Metro/Northern Virginia area and hope to expand further. One thing that you can be sure of is that we will never cease to amaze, or even suprise you. We bring everything from progressive, to emo, to double bass driven scream rock. We are a stew of five average guys, all with our own unique styles, but with one common love, making great music. We bring a sound that can be called nothing but fresh and new, and a live show fronted by a leadman with more energy than Chernobyl. Knew You is here to stay.
