King Dinosaur is an Olympia, WA based Americana Rock band, fronted by the King Dinosaur himself, Scott West. If variety is indeed the spice of life, King Dinosaur is cayenne pepper, combining rock, folk, country, and metal into songs about outer space, rock idols, pumpkins, old movies and what ever else is brewing within King Dinosaur's mind.

After many years of playing in the power trio Tall Toad, West yearned to do something different, play different styles of music, and play music with different musicians. King Dinosaur was created to do just that.

With a variety of band members, playing a variety of instruments, King Dinosaur can sit down for a quiet coffee house acoustic show, play some old Sci-Fi samples and jam psychedelic with any one from anywhere in the galaxy, rock out old school, or whatever suits the evening.

Five years in the making, the debut King Dinosaur CD -'Everything He Touched, He Destroyed', released this year on Mayonnaise Records, produced by Brooks Martin and recorded at Chez Peter’s, combines West’s eclectic musical styling and his vision of King Dinosaur. West also plays guitar and sings for the Heavy-Outlaw-Country band Rodeo Kill and plays drums for the Electro-Industrial band Fire 99.
