Being from a small town, a dry county, population 2500, a town well away fromany major city, I SIT. The internet, thephone, and snail mail are my tools. Why would I pick this dream? For love, for passion, and maybe I'm a little crazy. It's my music, my most passionate formof communication to those around me. I am not alone, we are an army. Performers in small towns everywhere. To our right and to our left are those whobelieve in us. Those whom we trust to tell us we are doing this for the right reasons. Why when there are so many searching for that #1 hit and break intothe music biz, why would we pursue this dream, day after day, relentlessly? Because we love it, its our life, it is born into us. We eat, sleep, and drink lyrics and melodies. I wouldn't trade it for anything, and there are a lot easier roads to take. There's room, if you have enough determination and persistence to shove your way in. I am a performer--make room!

I have been back on the stage for three years solid. I love it! This is my job. It is not a nine to five job, it is twenty-four/seven. I was given this talent at birth. It is passed down from my dad, he is the original rocker. When music is born into you it is different from being learned. I am not saying it is any less or any more, but you can not deny what is in your body, mind, and soul. You can not put it down and pick it up when you feel like it. My mom would tell me stories of when my dad would have jam sessions at our house (when she was pregnant with me) and I would not stop jumping around inside her. I suppose that reflects my on stage performance. I am an entertainer, very energetic, where there is music I can't sit still. I want the audience to leave with a smile on their face and wondering where I will be next. It's not about the traveling, it's not about the money, it is about the next show and the performance. It is where I can best convey my feeling and love for music.

My musical experiences growing up vary from both ends of the spectrum. My mom would listen to traditional country, and my dad played southern rock. I soon developed my own favorites ranging from Barbra Streisand, Frank Sintra, Nat King Cole, to Gun's N Roses, Poison, to The Judd's, and of course Garth Brooks. My voice has been described as versatile, so the question has been asked many times, why country? I am country! I was raised and still live in a small town in Southern Illinois. It is what I know. The lyrics and melodies of every country song are familiar to me. I can relate to all of the songs on country radio. I've either seen it, heard it, or done it. Some of the songs are so clever that I laugh out loud. That is the type of music I want to put out there. When you hear it, you know it, cause you've lived it.

I have a husband, and a daughter. They too, have a love for music. We have yet to see all of my daughters music abilities but they are there. My entire family supports my music career 100%. My mom had me in the studio recording a demo at age thirteen. Of course at thirteen it's is more their decision than yours. You come to learn though, they have your best interest at heart. I have won numerous awards, and talent shows. I was in choir in school and sang in church. I have been in many Country Showdowns, and performed all over the US. In the summer of 2005 I opened for Buddy Jewell, and last summer I was invited to do the Taste Of Chicago, and performed in front of a crowd of 10-15,000 people. I opened for Phil Vasser, Jo Dee Messina, and Shedaisy. It has been the highlight of my career thus far. As I continue on my journey, there are ups and downs. I continue my trips back and forth to Nashville to try and soak up as much knowledge as I can. I have met so many interesting people that travel the same road, we all have a dream that we are striving to make a reality.
