Kianti was formed in the Spring of 2001. The name has nothing to do with 'wine', it's a mix of the names of our kids (KIAH, IAN, TIMMY). Lots of influences ranging from all music genres create our unique sound. Most people who listen to our CD or hear us live usually say 'WOW. That's different.' Drums are light and jazzy. Bass is smooth. Heavy on the organ. Crisp and clean guitar. McCartneyesque vocals.

Kianti is Lou Liotta on guitar and vocals, Brian Newsholme on keyboard/organ, Eric Mayer on bass, and Fred Angeleri on drums. Each of us has over 12 years of experience. Brian was classically trained at the age of 4. Fred has his Masters in Music Education.

The band recorded a 6-song demo,'Inner State of Flow' in January 2002. Right now we play out once a month around Fairfield County. Looking to get more exposure in the original band scene. Will hit the studio for a second demo in the of Fall 2002. Look out for Kianti come 2003.
