Jonny Rumble is a four-piece rock/alternative/ jam band out of Kalamazoo, MI. Influences include a wide range of music including new and old: The Beatles, Radiohead, The Doors, Pearl Jam, The Beach Boys, Neil Young, Weezer, ThePolice, and countless others. Their bulk of their strength lies in a powerful, driving, live set, revolving heavily around their drummers unique and powerful style. The duo guitar work can range from heavy riffs to space-aged noise and effects, and even some classical approach, all over bass that is unmistakable as Jonny Rumble. They currently play in the Kalamazoo area to a supportive, growing, college crowd at clubs including: Club Soda, Bourbon Street, Boogies, The Space, and their music is regular featured on WIDR fm. In 2000 the band played their first gig with the current members at the Oakland Community College Battle of the Bands in Farmington, Michigan, sponsored by Modern Tunage Magazine and Guitar Center. Jonny Rumble placed First under their original name Plastic Soul. In February of 2002 they recorded and produced their first album “Everybody’s Green” at Broadside Recording in Kalamazoo. The album received good reviews in the local newspaper in Kalamazoo ( should be included in press packet). Jonny Rumble is currently looking to expand their audience across Michigan to the Ann Arbor, Detroit, Lansing, and Flint Areas and actively seeking to be signed by a small record label. A strong live show is promised along with a professional and enthusiastic attitude.
