The Jojakimbi band is Jim Jacobi's next incarntion of bands after he dropped the name Crap Detectors after 12 bands. He started recording in 1978 and is still doing so. Even though he is thought of as an independent artist, Jacobi has had different bands with different incarnations.

The Jojakimbi band is Jim Jacobi on Guitars/keys and vocals with Craig Kingery on bass and Dave Robel on Drums. Each individual has played in variety of bands doing different forms of music but follow Jacobi's artistic leadership.

The year 2002 saw the release of Jacobi's 14 release 'I'm Datin' Satan!' hopefully to be followed by someting in the near future. It will be a self titled CD with the Jojakimbi band and many guest.
