Istan Black has been recording and performing live music since 1973. When he moved to Cleveland, OH in 1997 and met Stacey Eutazia, they formed Istan Black and the Sweets in 1998 and have been sending out irie, irie vibes ever since and released their first full length CD, Fatal Struggle in 2001.

Istan Black & the Sweets Reggae offers their listeners the highest quality reggae around. Istan Black, a native Jamaican currently residing in Cleveland, OH brings a style similar to the greats, but with a groove all his own. He truly deserves the title of 'crowd mover'.

With slammin' harmonies, the Sweets don't mess around when it comes to providing the 'back-up' vocals. Stacey Eutazia and Ceco Selinas produce a mellow, sweet, enigmatic, vocal section that is irresistible and powerful.

Istan Black and the Sweets are always backed by the mighty, mighty KLEVA band, Cholly O on Bass, Brian on Guitar, Peter on Keys, Will on Drums and Tommy on percusion.
