Hypertufa is a high energy, three piece, Roots Rock band based out of Kelowna, BC. The members are J Kleiss, Lane Brunelle, and Reece Maier. The band formed in late 2001and since then they have been rehearsing, recording and performing at local showcases and jams. The three members bring together a wide array of influences including Rock, Blues, Jazz, R&B, Reggae, Hip Hop, Pop and Soul.

J Kleiss: Songwriter, Lead Vocalist and Guitarist If J’s not playing live or in the studio you can usually find him organic gardening or building something on his family’s farm.

Lane Brunelle: Songwriter, Bassist and Vocalist With many thanks to Lane Hypertufa’s live show is a unique experience. Lane is a funky Fella, he is constantly kicking out smooth break dancing moves as he grooves on the Bass.

Reece Maier: Songwriter, Drummer and Vocalist Reece plays a lot of drums. If he’s not playing with Hypertufa you can find him swinging blues cover tunes and jamming at local jam nights around the Okanagan. Reece has been described as an intense and animated performer.
