History:Hollow Point, a local band officially out of the Lasalle-Peru area, has been in the making for the past few years, and their inception has been less than quick and easy. A.J. and John (the 2 founding members) have tried to juggle work and school, as well as practicing, recording and trading musical ideas all while while looking for fellow musicians to jam with. It has been a long and difficult process (way to long...over 2 years), but they have finally met up with people who want the same thing they do: To make kick ass music. First came Adam on drums, who John met through a previous singer while A.J. was away at school...in Wisconsin. He wanted in after just one practice with himself, A.J., and John. When A.J. came home for good a month later, the three practiced/wrote every day for around a week, and worked with two seperate singers (Both together and alone). Then, after only one week of preperation, they took second place in a battle of the bands. Finally, something positive had happened to the band, and they decided that they needed to do a bit more recruiting. This was when Laen got the call. Adam had known him from a previous band, and he too was turned after only one practice. Then, when both singers fell through, J.R. joined the mix and the rest is history. The name Hollow Point does not mean some type of ammunition (most people think it's the bullet), what it does mean, is that for a while A.J. and John doubted that their constant efforts to start a band would ever ammount to anything. So what was the point of working so hard? Nothing. Thus Hollow Point was born.
