We are a 3 piece band from the Bronx in New York City. Neither of us knew how to play any instruments when the band was formed, all we knew was that we had a vision and that there must be other kids out there that feel the same way we do. Our music is angst against popularity in whatever form it may take. The songs are for the underdog and against the majority. I wouldnt know how to classify the music of 'Holding Caulfield', call it what you will. I only know that it has passion and tons of emotion and thats all that really matters to us anyway!
Holding Caulfield consists of Stevin on guitar and lead vocals, Liam on the bass and vocals, and Franco on the drums and vocals. We all had a huge part in teaching eachother to play so I think that makes a big difference to our originality.
We lost a huge part of the band in 2001 when our brother and guitar player/song writer died from an unfortunate drug overdose. For a while the band was up in the air, but in the past year we have been jamming and writing more than ever. We are more motivated than ever before to get our music and ideas out there.
Holding Caulfield is mainly about the music, but we are also about honesty and the exposure of phoneys when ever possible. Keep it real, as for all you fakes, go blow your faces off!
