The mega-force known as Here Lies Martha was a work in progress for a few years for Riley(guitar) and Seth(guitar/vocals). They spent years in basements, lofts and parties playing a couple of catchy tunes for friends and well-wishers. Riley and Seth went through some serious life changes in this amount of time and descided that they didn't want this to be a casual jam band anymore. They quickly found a temporary drummer, but found some difficulty trying to find someone who could play a bass. Well, fate turned that around. They're long-time friend moved in from out of town, watched them all jam one night and descided, 'I want a peice of this!!' This mans name is Cole. So now they put some songs together, came up with a name,(Here Lies Martha) played a few shows, recorded a cd, lost a drummer, found a drummer (Thomas) and are fighting they're way towards a bright future in music. They leave a warning with anyone who will listen. 'JOIN US OR BE LEFT BEHIND!'

The style that defines Here Lies Martha is a screaming mixture of rock, hardcore and metal. They bost and energetic feel to their music. With the highest screams mixing with pinch harmonics, the deep throat mixing with the punching bass lines, the crisp drums melting with the solos of both bass and guitar and the voice of energy with the chants of power. One secret weapon of H.L.M. is a dynamic live show with spinning instruments, heavy headbanging, flailing hair and chants of intensity.
