Hank Walters and the Arcadian Ladies family band was established in 1991. The Arcadian Ladies include Hank's three daughters Pauline, Claire, and Lorna Gail. All members of the band are renowned for their prolific songwriting ability and originality. Many of the family's songs depict their own particular love for the City of Liverpool. Working as live entertainers across the City of Liverpool, the band has its own unique sound of Country mixed with hints of Cajun and Tex Mex. Lead vocals backed by three part harmonies are also a strong feature of this bands sound. Hank and the girls have some TV experience and can be frequently heard performing live on radio.

A key sound of the Merseybeat era which earned Liverpool the nickname - The Nashville of England - is making a comeback. After two years work and fundraising, an album has been released celebrating Liverpool's Country and Folk music talent. City With a Heart is in the first stage of the 'City With a Heart Project' aimed at rejuvinating this unique Liverpool sound. City With A Heart Country Music is a new intiative that aims to regenerate and promote the Liverpool Country Music Scene. Back in the 50's and even more in the 60's, Liverpool's Country Music with it's Celtic roots, was very much part of the great Mersey Sound. Eventually, due to its wealth of local Country Music talent, Liverpool gained the name of 'Nashville of England'. However, because of many economic changes in the area, the number of performing bands declined, yet many of the founders of this music gender continue to play the national and local music scene.

This Regeneration Programme will help to prevent the loss of Liverpool's own unique Country Music Culture and Heritage. The programme will record and archive material from the existing local Country Music Community, and provide opportunity for recording to a younger generation of promising singer/songwriter performers. It will also assist in developing small business for bands and distribution networks for marketing their CD products nationally and internationally.
