Once in a great while a group of guys come together from all walks of life, different musical influence, and diverse personalities. While each being their own average everyday person, together as one, they create something magical.There have been many musical trends; the infamous sixties, the LSD driven seventies, hair-metal eighties, and flannel based nineties. From all of those musical periods music has evolved into what we hear today. Hybrid L has taken a musical flavor from each of the past eras and has put together something special and unique. Combining different types of music together with their own special ingredients they have created a “hybrid” of rock music. Hybrid L’s style is something you just can’t put your finger on. Something special emits from stage, from the speakers, from the souls of the four men playing their hearts out. From the immense guitar sound, driving bass line, and thunderous drums, to the soaring melodic vocals and dynamic harmonies, their writing style possesses the hook, dynamic energy, and vibe, especially live, that gives their music the life and soul that is missing from most rock music today. Bubbling up from the core of bands, Hybrid L has exploded into the forefront of artists in last 12 months. Jagermeister, Level 27, Arko and Danq clothing have taken notice and jumped onboard as sponsors for Hybrid L, representing them proudly as they grow throughout the country and the industry. Jagermeister selected Hybrid L to join in with Alter Bridge for the spring tour show in Pensacola as well. And as an example of growth, they recently 'sold out' the Hard Rock in Atlanta,Ga prior to the doors opening, which has not been done to date for an unsigned band. Relentlessly touring all over the southeast from Alabama, to the Carolinas and everywhere in between, they have tallied over 100 shows in the past 11 months. With an EP and a full length CD, done completely independently, they have begun working on a highly anticipated 3rd release, due out in early 2005. Once in a great while, a band comes along, and you just can’t put your finger on why they stand apart from the masses, but you’re glad they do, and you continue to listen because you’re hooked on the unique sound they have created.
