Guilty By Acquaintance was formed in late 2001. The band quickly recorded and released a home studio demo in October 2001 at the Coastal Carolina Fair. Recieving an overwhelming response, Relative Music signed the band to booking and promotional contracts in November 2001. Guilty By Acquaintance continued to tour in Charleston for the rest of last year.

2002 brought new and exciting changes for the band. Named the College of Charleston's local band of the month for March 2002. GBA began touring in Columbia and Myrtle Beach as well as playing at some Charleston's hottest rock venues like The Plex. In July, the band added guitarist Clint McLean. In August, the band added vocalist John Fripp to complete the current line up.

GBA plans to continue their SC tour while expanding in to new markets in GA, NC and FL. The band is currently preparing to re-recording and releasing their debut CD , So Much For Hollywood. It should be out by Spring 2003.
