Chicago's Funk Mob, Groovepushers are a dedicated group of Chicago musicians out to 'funk up da place nice and stanky'
The band is comprised of hand-picked seasoned entertainers who have worked with legendary funk acts such as George Clinton, Parliament Funkadelic, The Gap Band, Cameo, and a host of others. They have been weaned on the funk. George Clinton himself has said ‘these guys have the license to funk!”. The Groovepushers independently released “Pushin a Groove like a Man Possessed” a CD of all original tunes. Available in stores locally and on line via www.tothebone.com Recently, they have appeared on the nationally syndicated Jenny Jones Show. Locally, the band has recorded a song about baseball star Sammy Sosa with radio personality, Steve Dalh of WCKG.
