Formed in the spring of 1999 by guitarist / songwriter Chris Roshto and Drummer Mark Clayton, Gravity Sheep People sought out to change what had become the norm in the New Orleans Rock Scene. Chris being a child of the 70's and 80's school of hard rock had become increasingly frustrated with the ever expanding alternative scene spawned in seattle. Gone, it seemed, were the days of screaming guitar solos and air raid siren vocal, thundering on top of chugging rhytyms and volcanic drum beats. He soon enlisted the help of freind / blues feind 'Burnin' Mike B.on rhytym guitar, David Horman on bass, and frank Caronna on Vox. It seems they found the chemistry to bring back the metal of old and make it new again.
Now in 2001 after a successful live album 'absolutley Live? they are poised to push it to the next level with their self produced studio effort, AD INFINITUM. With it's mix of Heavy grinders to its well produced slower grooves, this is an effort that crosses bounderies that are expected from a band that performs with the intensity of G.S.P. Once again they seemed destin to rocket to the top.
