Originally formed from the members of a 'dead cover band' Emily's Garden, Gladstone released its all-original debut CD in 2000. With commercial success appearing likely, the band considered many options for new members, finally bringing in guitar/vocal veteran David Keith to fill out the lineup in January 2001. Enjoying regular radio airplay, the band started playing more extensively outside the hometown of Louisville; work on the early tracks for the second CD began officially in February 2000. An upbeat roots-rock jamband, Gladstone enjoys bringing a smile to the faces of those dancing in the crowd. Rich twangy vocal harmonies, 'jerryesque' lead guitar and strong grooving rhythm section are the hallmarks of this exciting band.

Gladstone consists of Neil Hulsewede on guitar and vocals, Sam Shaheen on bass, Scott Vanhouten on drums, and Dan Monarch on keys and vocals. Newcomer David Keith of Memphis also performs on guitar and sings. Each member brings the strengths of previous projects, along with the valuable wisdom and experience that come from years of playing together.

As the new CD continues to gain popular acceptance, Gladstone sets its sights on touring later this year. A second CD is in the works, and plans are being made for production in a major Nashville recording studio.
