Funkalicious formed out of Waynesburg College for a battle of the bands on campus. After one week together, the band won the battle, defeating 2 professional bands, and the legend began. They started writing with Rob on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Joe on lead guitar, Hans on bass, and Matthew on drums. The band has risen to become favorties around Pittsburgh and is now ACTIVELY seeking to expand it's audience. Going into the band's second year, they are recording their first LP and writing to have new material for upcoming shows.

'The pieces fit together' was what the judge at our fist show said about the band, and it rings truer still today. Matthew's inventive drumming combined with the hard-rock edged funk of Steve's bass playing lay down the bed for all Funkalicious songs. On top of this, add searing emotional lyrics and brilliant guitar work and you have Funkalicious catchy pop-rock sound.

The single year that Funkalicious has been together has seen them write 20 songs, get beginning radio play from their first single 'World Behind' and build a rabid following around the Pittsburgh area. The lineup remains solid, and looks forward to the upcoming dates the band will be playing.

As honestly as we can put it, we're a band looking for it's break. We have proven again and again that we can make believers out of anyone who will listen, we just need someone to lend an ear.
