Birmingham based Friends of the stars have been together for 8 years, though have previously gone under guises such as The Tocques and Buick 6, the name by which they did 2 John Peel Sessions. They are proud to release their debut album, currently now a 3 piece. Friends of the stars use vocal harmonies, banjos and acoustic stripped down melodic and melacholic music that is currently available in all major record stores.
Friends of the stars consists of Anna Russell (vocals and piano), Craig Hamilton (vocals, acoustic guitar and vocals) and Cam Docherty (banjo, guitar, vocals).
There have been some changes in the band over the years; drummer Phil Robinson moving south, James Summerfield starting a solo career and the launch of Commercially Inviable records are just a few. For more information on Friends of the stars please visit the website
