Four Twenty started in the summer of 1999. The bands name, of course, comes from the stoner pot smoking time '4:20' which is odd because the members of the band are no longer active in that field. But still, the name remains.
Of the original four founding members, Joey Stewart (lead guitar/vocals) and Kasper (bass) are the only ones left after one year of playing together. The newest addition known only as Smurf Boy (Drums) has added greatly to the now solidly formed band.
Their first album, Know Bullshit, which was limited to 1,000 copies, has long sold out and the second album, Long Live America, is steadily catching up. Originally envisioned to be a single, the band ended up with a full live album containing twenty of their best songs.
Deep bass lines incorporated with a hard-hitting Smurf Boy on drums, topped off with overdriven, ultra-heavy guitar crunch will be what makes you glad Four Twenty came to be.
