Forealious
Band Biography

  • From: Athens, OH
  • No. of Members: 4
  • Year Established: 2003

Lindy Kehoe and Tony Beres ironically met and fell in love while playing their first show together. Having both been invited to perform at a benifit concert for a revolutionary magazine, they arrived independently, Lindy with her flute and Tony with his Guitar. Everyone watched how their music and their energy merged together so fluidly as they performed together for the first time. Since that night in August 2002, the two have performed numerous times around Ohio, Pennsylvania,North Carolina, and even in California. They have pledged to dedicate their music to raising consciousness, spreading messages of love, art, inspiration, human rights, freedom, government acountability, democracy, beauty, and empowering people to do the same.

Since the birth of Forealious, Lindy and Tony experimented with many musicians before deciding to officially add the incredible percussion work of Billy Crocker and the rock solid bass of John Riggins to their sound. Also they feature a collage of international dancers and drummers, whom they call the Serendipity Circus. Usually during the performance, the Circus will enter the stage and sweep the audience away into a World Beat infused with percussion, chanting, and African and Middle Easter Dancing. The Serendipity Circus includes such members as Leonard Mjomba, Kenyan Dancer and Storyteller, and Marta Crocker, Belly Dancer from Croatia, among others. Together with the Serendipity Circus, Forealious is constantly experimenting with a World Beat/Jam fusion, incorporating many elements of dance and theater into their performance. Their goal is to create a spontaneous, interactive explosion of energy that connects music with movement and theater, and inspires people to dance.

The list of their performances and accomplishments over the past year and a half includes Comfest, Hempfest, the writing and production of the Paw Paw Opera which was performed at the Paw Paw Festival and part of which was featured in a full length documentary about the subject, the Sustainability Festival, Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and the 'New Acid Test' Event in honor of Ken Kesey. They have also performed in numerous venues in Ohio and Pennsylvania as well as traveled to California, Oregon, Utah, France, Spain and Scotland. This multitalented group is engaging, entertaining, theatrical, rhythmic and funny and has been called an experience 'kinda like being at a rainbow gathering' by Athens News and 'Greenwich Village kind of folk groove' by the Insider. Lindy and Tony's music and art is their life and their ambition. They are among the Merry Pranksters of the new mellenium casting their work into the collage of the creative revolution.
