Flirting With First, formerly (Operation Population Control), emerged onto the Atlanta music scene in early 2002, bringing with them a sound that separates them from the rest of the pack. The powerful, yet unique voice of Zack Driver complements his energy driven, live performance and will leave you wanting more. Back this up with powerful chords, deep bass and heavy drums, and you have the sound Flirting With First created.
After months of writing and rehearsing, the founding members, Bryan Swain on guitar, Brian Jung on drums, and Greg Garland on bass, and vocalist Zach Driver, realized there was still something missing. The band added rhythm guitarist Shane Grigsby. Now the sound was complete! THICK guitars, HEAVY rhythm, AWESOME solos and MELODIC, yet HARD vocals, what more can you ask for.
Flirting With First has performed in front of crowds throughout the southeast drumming up fans at every stop. In April 2003, they headed to Pensacola FL, to perform on The Pavilion on Santa Rosa Island for “Rockin For The Troops”, a music festival to honor the men and women in the armed forces. As a feather in their cap, the band’s first single, “Drown My Soul” was used in the radio spot TK101, Clear Channel, produced to advertise the event. Flirting With First has completed the writing for their debut CD, and is currently in the studio recording. A early fall release date is planned.
